A Dog’s nose-print is just as unique as a human fingerprint and a South-Korean startup is running with that interesting fact to help identify lost dogs.
Backed by Samsung, Petnow has developed an app that scans the surface pattern on a dog’s nose and saves the biometric data on a register linked to its owner.
If a registered dog wanders off, the idea is that anyone can take a photo of it using the app and be able to contact the owner.
The startup is also looking to extend the use of the app for owners to register their cats and say that feature will be available by the middle of this year.
Before you go searching for it in your app store, the Petnow app is currently only available in South Korea.
