Residents and workplaces in Logan, Queensland are now able to enjoy
KFC flown and dropped to them from the sky thanks to a pilot program with drone delivery company Wing.
To make this happen a special ‘cloud kitchen’ has been developed so popular fried chicken favourites can be prepared and loaded onto a drone for delivery within minutes.
After traveling at around 110 kilometres per hour, the drone hovers at around 7 meters above the delivery point and lowers the KFC down via a tether and releases the package. Who said chickens can’t fly!
Drone delivered KFC is only in Logan Queensland but Wing hopes to expand the program.
