According to the Australia Plays 2023 report from the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association and Bond University Video Games win hands down.
The data revealed that 81% of Australians engage with video games (up 14 percent from the previous report)—outpacing the 56% who watched the AFL Grand Finals.
Along with the numbers, the report showcases gaming’s positive aspects: players often excel in various areas, employ games for mental health, and find joy in the social facets.
