With Telstra’s 3G network scheduled to shut down on 30 June this year, you may be among the many Australian who will need to upgrade their devices to stay connected after the 3G network goes offline for good.
If you’re not sure if this will impact you, Telstra has launched a free text service to let you know if you need to take any action and what that might involve.
Most Telstra customers who will be impacted by the shutdown will have likely already heard from Telstra, but they have also developed an easy-to-use SMS tool to check if a phone needs an upgrade.
Simply text the number ‘3’ to 3498 and Telstra will text you back telling you if you need to take action.
