The latest smartphones can make it easy to track down a lost or stolen phone but Apple wants to take that technology a step further.
A new patent awarded to Apple recently outlines technology that could collect data such as fingerprints and photos of phone theives which would then be sent back to the device’s owner and authorities.
Yes it sounds very much “find my phone”…but it turns many of the iphone’s biometric features against thieves. Will this feature ever make it into an iPhone? We’ll have to wait and see.
