It’s a good idea to have a spare battery for your digital still or video camera as you never know when you’ll be caught out with a flat battery and no chance of a quick recharge, but when it comes to shopping for a backup or replacement battery, it pays to do your homework.
You could go back to the store you bought your camera from and buy the recommended brand battery, and while this is what manufacturers recommend, it can also be the expensive option.
