AI smart glasses have faced intense scrutiny across Australia over privacy concerns, but HTC is aiming to tackle the backlash with its newest release.
The tech brand has launched the VIVE Eagle, a 799-dollar pair of smart glasses designed with privacy at the forefront.
Alongside 3K video, live translation, and integrated AI from Google and OpenAI, the frames feature encrypted local storage and an adaptive recording light that stops filming if covered.
Anyone close by can even say “stop filming” to shut off recording instantly.
The VIVE Eagle is available now through selected Harvey Norman stores.
