Facebook Places has just launched in Australia, giving Facebook users the ability to ‘check-in’ and share their location in real-time with other Facebook users.
It’s important to note that Facebook seems to have ticked all the boxes when considering any privacy concerns that users may have with ‘Facebook Places’. It will be totally up to each user to decide how or if they wish to take part in any location ‘tagging’.
Basically if you look over your privacy settings before you get involved, then Facebook Places will be a great feature to enjoy with your Friends.
So how will people use this application?
Well today I spoke with Facebook user and dedicated ‘foodie’ Victoria Montano from Sydney about how she intends to make use of the new feature.
