Sometimes it can be nice to have someone check in on you to make sure you’re doing ok or to feel safe.
A new feature in the My Optus App does just that.
The Optus Sidekick feature allows customers to notify their trusted contacts to check in with them at the times they need a bit more reassurance, like when they are home alone, going for a walk by themselves or making their way home alone.
Optus suggests that this could be useful for kids walking home from school, people out for a late-night walk, and even an elderly neighbour who walks to the shops alone.
This is currently available for Optus customers as a trial using iOS devices only.
