If you’re planning gifts for mothers day you might have flowers in mind but how about a gadget to help mum grow her own…and keep them alive.
It’s called Flower Power…a plant monitoring device that works with a smartphone app to help you keep your plants healthy.
This sensor is actually shaped like a small tree branch but has a whole bunch of technology packed inside that’s powered by a single AAA battery that will last 6 months.
Basically you take the flower power sensor and place it in the garden, or planter box or flower pot next to your plant and it senses ambient temperature, moisture, fertilizer and sunlight. Those readings are then beamed to you smartphone and the free Flower Power App. This App is loaded up with scientific data on around 6000 plants which when combined with the data from the sensor can tell you what the plant needs more or less of.
Flower Power from Parrott sells for $79. You’ll find it in Apple’s online store.
