It’s 2022…so where are all the flying cars? 

 

It looks like we’ll see them first on the race track.

Over the past few years work has been underway by Alauda Aeronautics to create the world’s first and only fully functioning electric flying racing cars for the sole purpose of launching the Airspeeder EXA Series flying car grand prix.

These next-generation machines first flew publicly in development flights in  undisclosed parts of the south Australian desert last year and the first pilots were recently announced, drawn from backgrounds in motor racing and drone flying.

The next step for these pilots will be over 2000 hours of VR training.
