As more electric vehicles take to the road in Australia, one of the latest EV’s in the US has the ability to power an entire home.

Ford’s new F-150 Lightning pickup Truck is the first electric vehicle in the US to offer the ability for customers to power their homes during power outages.
So while most people will use their home charging station to provide power to their electric vehicle. Ford’s F-150 Lightning has bidirectional power technology so the power can flow back in the other direction to homes during an outage.

An F-150 Lightning with an extended-range battery could supply full home power for up to three days, or as long as 10 days when used in conjunction with solar power or power rationing.
