Foxtel is making the move to a cable and satellite free version of its set top box.
The new iQ5 streaming set top box launched this month means users will have access to up to 50,000 hours of streaming Foxtel content along with 100 live channels within minutes of plugging it in, with no cable or satellite installation required.
Along with the Foxtel offering, the iQ5 supports other streaming apps like Vevo, Netflix, YouTube, ABC iView, SBS On Demand and Amazon Prime Video.
The new, compact set-top box also has a detachable 1 terabyte hard drive so users can record their favourite shows.
