In 2009, Australian man Phil Day took out the world record high score for the 80’s video game Galaga. Since then holder of high score for the game has changed hands a few times but next month some of the best Galaga players in the world will gather to give it another go.
Among the lineup of the Score Wars video game tournament will be Phil Day, although he admits that he hasn’t actually played a full game of Galaga since his 2009 record score. The pro-level tournament has a top prize of 10 thousand dollars (USD).
We’ll be catching up with Phil Day in the coming weeks as he prepares for the competition.
