If you like to gaze into the night sky, but can’t tell a planet from a star here’s a great free download to help you out.
Stellarium offers a virtual view view of the night sky based on European Space agentcy data, but it’s laid out just as you would see it with the naked eye or through a telescope.
Once you have entered in your location you can simply use your keyboard and mouse to navigate the night sky, quickly identifying and even zooming in on objects to see what and where exactly they are.
The program operates in real time so no matter what time of night you’ll always see the sky on your screen as it is above.
