Using a Webmail service like Google’s Gmail takes the clutter of everyday email off your computer and stores it online, to be accessed from any computer, but unless you’re constantly logged in…it doesn’t have the same immediate feel as using a program like Outlook on your computer.
One solution to help Gmail users keep up to date with email as it arrives is a program called “Gmail Notifier”.
Once installed, the program runs rucked away on your windows taskbar, quitely monitoring your Gmail account. The minute a new message comes in a message pops up with the name of the sender, subject line and some of the message.
