With Facebook user numbers on the decline for the first time, is Google looking to be the next big thing in Social Networking?
Late last month Google launched a trial of “Google Plus”, a social networking experience that looks to correct the wrongs of similar services.
Google Plus allows users to differentiate between ‘friends’ by using circle groups, the idea being that the types of things that you might share with friends or family, you may not want to share with a wider group of people.
Google Plus also features ‘hangouts’ where up to 10 people can simultaneously take part in a video chat session which happens inside your web browser.
It’s still early days for Google Plus, but it’s off to a good start.
