You could be helping cyber criminals earn bitcoin and not even know that it’s happening.
Internet connected fridges, smart toys, garage door openers and other connected devices in the home are increasingly helping cybercriminals , according to Trend Micro’s 2017 Security Roundup.
The report has found cybercriminals are exploiting security vulnerabilities in connected devices to mine for Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, and the growth of new cryptocurrencies, such as Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Zencash is only driving criminals to these profitable hacks.
