The Internet is full of online scams but how can you be sure of what is real and what is fake?
Well I find the following rule can be applied to just about everything – If it sounds too good to be true…then it probably is.
Think about the email informing you that you’ve won 2 million dollars in a draw you didn’t enter…a facebook post that says you’ll get something of great value for free by posting a comment or a website link offering a massive discount that seems unbelieveable… all too good to be true.
Along with applying that rule good Internet security software can also help by identifying links to dodgey websites.
