Intel is brewing up a morale boost!

The tech giant, facing industry challenges and layoffs, has reinstated free coffee and tea for employees—a sip-sized perk in its $100-million-per-year program to foster workplace comfort.

After suspending numerous benefits last year to address a US$1.6-billion quarterly loss, Intel’s management acknowledged that “small comforts play a significant role in daily routines.”

Intel employees won’t get a full benefits reboot (yet), but the free coffee might perk them up during a rocky time. And while it’s not a major upgrade to their “internal hardware,” a warm cup could help power them through the day as they navigate Intel’s ongoing adjustments.
