How environmentally friendly is your toaster?
Once built to last for years, we now see domestic appliances like toasters and kettles produced and sold cheaply, made to throw away – not fix from not so environmentally friendly materials…but that’s changing.
Philips has just launched the first sustainable breakfast appliance set made from bio-based plastics and plant oil waste…which means a reduction in water pollution, CO2 emissions and use of natural resources.
The product packaging is also made from more than 90 percent recycled materials.
When you’re ready to replace your current kitchen favourites, you’ll find the Philips Eco series appliances online from Bing Lee and JB HiFi.
