If you were fortunate enough to receive some tech gifts at Christmas or bought yourself a new computer or phone for back to work or school…getting them setup to be secure is an important step.
Installing a good internet security suite is the best place to start (consider one with a built in VPN), then make sure all your programs or apps are up to date.
On a smartphone, also check what permissions app have as many request access to data they don’t really need.
Then it just comes down to being safe with everyday use. Update your passwords to be more secure…and don’t use the same password across different accounts (I know you all do it!).
