Back in the 90’s, the main use of a mobile phone was, no surprise, making and receiving phone calls, but what about now?
Well with all the things we can do with Smartphone now…the ability to take photos tops the list of features.
According to new research for Samsung Australia, people aged 18-25 especially love a good selfie, with 60 percent in that age group doing it at least once a week.
What about everyone else? Well the 26 to 45 age group is almost as keen with 47 percent snapping a selfie at least once a week…but the interest in taking selfies isn’t nearly as strong for those aged 46 and up.
Research conducted by PureProfile on behalf of Samsung Electronics Australia also found;
- Of those surveyed who have owned or used a flip/foldable phone, the compactness of the flip phone was the best thing about using a flip phone (35%), followed by the novelty of a flip phone and the satisfaction of physically hanging up phones (27% each)
- Australians will generally put their phone in their pocket (53%) or in their bag (32%) when not using their phone.
- For those who don’t store their phone in the pocket, the primary reason is due to a phone that is too large or bulky to be in pockets (64%).
