When Sony introduced its Walkman portable music player in 1979 I bet they couldn’t have imagined that 35 years later users would be grooving to tunes on their walkman device underwater…but that’s what they’ve done.
The latest W series Walkman is a 4-gigabyte MP3 player that’s waterproof enough to take swimming and Sony demonstrated this by letting the Australian Synchronized swimming team try it out before competing in this week’s Synchronized swimming world cup. (see the video below)
