Ever pushed send on an email only to regret it as soon as it’s gone? Generally speaking you can’t stop an email once it’s left the outbox, however in some cases you can give yourself a bit of a buffer period just in case you change you mind.
One example is Gmail’s “undo send” feature. Click into gmail settings and under the ‘general tab’ you can enable the undo send feature, setting a cancellation period of up to 30 seconds. Once this is set up, each time you send an email you’ll see that you have the option to ‘undo’ the send for the amount of time you’ve set.
There are other similar options for other email programs such as Criptext and Unsendit – which promises ‘regret free email’.
