Microsoft’s Internet explorer may be the original default web browser of the Windows Operating system, but it hasn’t been the most popular web browser since 2008.
Since then we’ve seen the Firefox top the most-used list a few years ago with Google’s Chrome now the browser of choice sitting at around 62 percent usage…compared to Internet explorer at 8 percent.
With a steady decline over the past 7 years it’s no surprise that when Windows 10 launches Microsoft will be replacing Internet explorer with something new…but the name has not yet been revealed. Stay tuned.
