Later this year Microsoft will roll out the first major update to the Windows 8 operating system that launched last year, but you can get a sneak peak right now.

Some of the big changes in Windows 8.1 include cloud connectivity with SkyDrive, version 11 of the Internet Explorer web browser along with more personalisation options.

Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, can also be found integrated into new food and fitness apps in Windows 8.1 if you wish to delve into these interests.

To try out the preview version of Windows 8.1 which may require a 3 to 4 gigabyte download, head to the official Windows website HERE.

Tip:Be sure to read the fine print as the preview is not suitable for all users.
