3D Televisions have been finding their way into homes over the past year, but one question that many buyers have is about the rather expensive 3D eyewear required to view 3D content on these TVs.<\/p>\n

Why can\u2019t you wear the same cheap 3D glasses at home that are used in cinema 3D? <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nWell now you can with the release of LG’s new Cinema 3D Televisions<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Why couldn’t we do this from the outset? Well speaking with Tim Barnes from LG Electronics in Australia, he said that it’s basically because around the start of last
\nyear when the first 3D TVs arrived, manufacturers had to yet to perfect the technology to re-create the same 3D experience you have in Cinemas (that uses ‘passive’ 3D eyewear).<\/p>\n

The LG Cinema 3D TV range now uses the same glasses you wear during 3D screenings at the Cinema (I even brought along my own pair to the demo just to make sure). Naturally one of the advantages of using this ‘Passive’ 3D eyewear is the cost as those cinema glasses will only set you back a few dollars, however LG also provide 4 sets of their own glasses with each TV and packs of 2 available for around 20 dollars.<\/p>\n
