Twitter recently announced to the developer community<\/a> that The Direct Messaging character count is being massively upgraded from 140 characters to 10 thousand, which is great for twitter users who may have otherwise switched across to Facebook or email for longer messages.<\/p>\n

Now while Twitter has announced the upgrade, they are likely to roll it slowly across the world…so don\u2019t be surprised if your Direct Messages in twitter are still limited to 140 characters for now.<\/p>\n
