Firstly, even if it\u2019s just being recycled, you\u2019ll need to securerly erase the hard drive…and this means going beyond just using the \u2018format\u2019 option (from which it’s actually possibly to recover deleted files).

\n<\/span>I\u2019ve recently used a free program called DBAN<\/strong>, it helps you create a bootable disk that gives you options to perform permanent data destruction from your hard drives. \u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>DBAN is simple to use, but put aside a full day to let the program do it\u2019s work. (and your old data won\u2019t fall into the wrong hands).<\/span>
