Sometimes it can be nice to have someone check in on you to make sure you\u2019re doing ok or to feel safe.<\/span>
\n<\/span>A new feature in the My Optus App<\/a> does just that.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>\"\"The Optus Sidekick feature allows customers to notify their trusted contacts to check in with them at the times they need a bit more reassurance, like when they are home alone, going for a walk by themselves or making their way home alone.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Optus suggests that this could be useful for kids walking home from school, people out for a late-night walk, and even an elderly neighbour who walks to the shops alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is currently available for Optus customers as a trial using iOS devices only.<\/p>\n
