74 percent of Australians feel worried about their online safety.<\/span>

\n<\/span>A new international study<\/a> by Cybersecurity company Surfshark<\/a> actually reveals that Australians are more scared to be targeted by cybercriminals than Americans, Germans, Brits or Canadians.<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems this is a valid concern with an 800% increase in cyberattacks recorded over the past weeks and a finding that 1 in 3 Australians\u00a0 <\/span>had been a victim of data breaches in 2021….plus FBI data ranks us 5th in the world<\/a> by cybercrime rate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some basic tips to stay safe online;<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t download files from unknown or unsecured
\n<\/span>Keep all your software up to date
\nMake backups of your data
\nUse antivirus, VPN and firewall solutions whenever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n
