Pixel 7 Pro vs Pixel 6 Pro<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’ve had the past week to get hands on with the 2 new Pixel devices and (spoiler alert) you’ll only hear good things from me about them (except for one very small gripe).<\/p>\n

Right out of the box the design changes are obvious with the an aluminium camera bar now featuring on both devices (Matte on the Pixel 7 and Polished on the Pixel 7 Pro).\u00a0 For me it gives the devices more of a premium look, especially if you are comparing to the Pixel 6.<\/p>\n

This new design does make the camera lenses stand out more, but great camera features are very much at the heart of these devices.<\/p>\n

Improvements to the camera system in the Pixel 7 Pro include an updated telephoto lens (now 5 x optical zoom) plus we now have the ability to take photos up close (3cm from the subject) with Macro Focus.\u00a0 The Super Res Zoom also delivers impressive quality\u00a0 with up to 30x on the Pixel 7 Pro and up to 8x on the Pixel 7.<\/p>\n

Now, there’s a lot more packed into both of the new Pixel devices, however\u00a0 here’s just a new more that I found extra useful over the past week.<\/p>\n

A Brighter Screen with Adaptive Brightness<\/strong> – Even in full sun I was pleasantly surprised to have no problem seeing everything on the screen, bright and clear.<\/p>\n

Audio Message Transcription<\/strong> –\u00a0 We all have that one friend or colleague who thinks it’s easier to send a voice recording than type a message, well new to Pixel 7 devices you can quickly access a transcript of audio messages, which can be a real time saver.<\/p>\n

A Battery that lasts<\/strong> – I spent more time with the Pixel 7 Pro in my hands over the past week and it didn’t break a sweat to make it through a full day on a single charge.\u00a0 Google says the adaptive battery can last for more than 24 hours and in extreme battery saver mode you can push it to 72 hours.<\/p>\n

Lemongrass only for Pixel 7<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

So what’s my ONE issue with the new Pixel phones?<\/p>\n

Well, it’s simply that the Pixel 7 Pro doesn’t come in the “Lemongrass” colour.\u00a0 It’s only an option for the Pixel 7.<\/p>\n

The Pixel 7 is available from 13\/10, starting at $999 and $1,299 for the Pixel 7 Pro.<\/a><\/p>\n
