Dodgy download speeds, frequent dropouts, and WiFi that doesn\u2019t work in your dunny have been revealed as Australia\u2019s biggest broadband blues according to TPG<\/a>\u2019s first ever Crappy<\/span> Internet<\/span> Report<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/u>The new survey casts a light on Australia\u2019s most complained about internet<\/span> problems and reveals a quarter of Australians suffer one to five connection dropouts a month <\/b>while the worst spots in Australian homes for internet<\/span> connectivity, have been revealed as the bedroom, living room and toilet.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u>The Crappy<\/span> Internet<\/span> Report found Australians are willing to pay more in rent if they could get a reliable internet<\/span> connection<\/b>, with some 47 per cent saying they would pay between $20 – $40 extra a week for a stable and fast service and 36 per cent reported they would pay between $40\u2013$60 extra a week for great internet<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u>Sammi Te, TPG Head of Fixed Product Commercial, said \u201cThe good news is, with a healthy dose of TPG Fibre, you can flush away those crappy<\/span> internet<\/span> problems once and for all.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u>28 per cent of respondents restart their router or modem every month, while 23 per cent threaten to throw their router out the window at least once a month.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u>42 per cent of respondents say their internet<\/span> connection works perfectly most of the time, but almost a quarter (23 per cent) say their connection slows to a crawl during peak usage times.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u>Of those suffering constant connectivity problems, 11 per cent say their connection is \u201cslower than a tortoise\u201d, and another 14 per cent say their connection disappears when it\u2019s most needed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u>When asked what the ideal internet<\/span> connection is, 42 per cent said they wanted a \u201cstable, reliable\u201d connection with no unexpected interruptions.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
