Australians are spending the equivalent of 97 days every year managing micro-decisions, domestic chores, and routine household admin. In response to this growing fatigue, LG Electronics has officially launched its 2026 global Life’s Good campaign under a clear, timely banner: “Free up your mind.”

Rather than pushing technology that encourages people to do more or work faster, LG’s latest initiative focuses on how smart home appliances and ambient artificial intelligence can quietly handle everyday tasks in the background—giving Australians back the mental bandwidth they need to enjoy spontaneous, meaningful moments.

23 Interruptions – Every. Single. Day.

To ground the campaign in real consumer experiences, LG conducted research examining modern lifestyle pressures across Australia. The findings reveal a stark picture of cognitive overload driven by unpaid domestic work and relentless small choices:

Key Metric
Australian Survey Finding

Increased Mental Load
54% say their mental load has increased substantially in the past year.

Daily Distractions
Australians experience an average of 23 mental load interruptions per day.

Time Overhead
Over 25% of the year (97 days) is consumed by household admin and domestic care.

Sleep Impact
52% report that mental load prevents them from sleeping well.

Physical Well-being
50% feel their physical health is negatively impacted by constant micro-decisions.

Tech Optimism
72% believe proactive household technology can meaningfully lighten their burden.

The research highlights that the mental load follows people home, invading moments reserved for rest. When asked what they would do if this cognitive weight were lifted, Australians didn’t express a desire to be more productive or achieve more. Instead, they wanted simple human pleasures: reading a book undisturbed, enjoying unplanned time with family, or simply being fully present.

What LG AI Actually Does

LG’s strategy relies on what the brand terms “Affectionate Intelligence”—smart features that operate quietly behind the scenes without demanding attention or requiring manual setup.

The product lineup highlighted in the 2026 campaign showcases how AI takes over micro-decisions across the home:
