Over 3000 School students are now assisting the Government to educate Australians about staying safe online.
The Youth Advisory Group on Cyber Safety is made up of students from around 400 schools and gives primary and secondary students the opportunity to give direct input on a range of internet safety issues.
One of the group’s recent successes is “The Easy Guide to Socialising Online” which was launched in January. This publication was made after Youth Advisory Group told the government that young people are parents wanted to know more about the safety features on social networking sites.
The group continues to participate in consultation on Cyber safety.
