Ford is set to bring its first RANGER plug-in hybrid electric vehicle to Australia next year.
Combining a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine with a 75kW electric motor, the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid electric will have a a 45km electric-only range.
The vehicle retains the Ranger’s signature towing and off-road capabilities, while also offering Pro Power Onboard, powering up to to 6.9kW of for tools and devices.
Alongside the regular models, Ford is launching a limited-edition Stormtrak version, featuring exclusive styling and premium finishes.
Ford’s first Plug-in Hybrid electric Ranger will be built in South Africa with initial deliveries expected in 2025.
