As an event event held in Los Angeles this morning, and streamed across the globe, the shape and price of the Playstation 4 console was revealed with the Australian price tag set at RRP $549. Fans were also more than happy to hear that Sony would continue to support the use of 2nd hand games.
This would come as quite a relief to retailers who currently offer trade-in and sales of used games….and for those gamers who prefer not to buy games on release day, instead picking up 2nd hand copy at a later date – at a reduced price.
Additionally, it was announced that the Playstation 4 would not require 24/7 internet connectivity to function…or for games to function. View the announcement below.
